Our Helpline has received thousands of contacts from those who need our expert help and guidance. These crucial services are entirely reliant on charitable donations.
Notes: when declaring Gift Aid – Legal Notice
- “No” is for all people who are not UK taxpayers or for people who do not wish to (or cannot) make their donation through the UK Gift Aid tax scheme.
- “Yes” declares you are a UK tax payer and you are making a legal declaration that you wish us to claim 25% of the value of your donation today as an additional tax-free donation from HMRC via the Government Gift Aid scheme (at no extra cost to you), the amount claimed being equal or less than the amount of standard rate tax you have (or will have) paid to HMRC for the current tax year. You must supply your full name and address during checkout to enable us to correctly process this request.
You must notify us if you made your donation with Gift Aid set to “Yes” and need to cancel/change that declaration; i.e. if you change your name or home address, or you no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains so we can make an adjustment on our next Gift Aid Return. We will claim at the standard 25% rate. You should retain your receipt if you will be declaring this donation on your next UK Tax Return.
Processing Fees
Please note that we may pay a small card processing fee which will be taken from your donation amount by our service gateway. This cost is not passed on to you.
